In the Scherr Forum: At the Thousand Oaks Civic Arts Plaza!!! 2100 Thousand Oaks Blvd. Thousand Oaks, CA 91362
Thousand Oaks, California, USA: Like Memorial Day and the Indy 500, Thanksgiving and the NFL, what would a holiday be without a sporting event? Could you imagine New Year’s Day without the college bowl games?
Now, the sport of pole dancing looks to associate itself with a great American holiday. Easter Weekend, April 6-7. 2012 is debut of the Pole 2 Pole USA competition held in Thousand Oaks, California.
“We wanted to see a major U.S. holiday associated with a top pole dancing event”, says event producer Caterina Gennaro of Poleates, Westlake Village, CA. “By linking a sport with a holiday, it’s a very American way of growing your sport”. People start to look forward to pole dancing on Easter.”
So, there’ll be time for eggs, bunnies, and for those inclined, church services along with the Pole 2 Pole competition during what’s normally considered a family weekend. “A perfect time to get together with the family and watch the world’s best pole dancers” says Gennaro.
